AMERICAN LITERATURE FOR NON-NATIVE READERS OF ENGLISH
Monday 12:30-2:00 at Susan Patterson Building. Starts Oct 8th.
Read and discuss short works by American writers and the history that inspired them. Includes broad discussion, selected grammar and vocabulary building. Appropriate for intermediate and up ESL students.

COMPUTER BASICS AND MOUSING AROUND
Sept 24 and Sept 28 , 10:30 - 12:00 at Susan Patterson Building.
A two session class for people who have never used a computer before. Students will concentrate on using the mouse and a developing a few other basic computer skills. Review of the basic components of a computer.

COMPUTERS: SURFING THE INTERNET
Sept 4 & 6 10:30-12:30 at Susan Patterson Building.
A basic introduction to the internet - what it is and how it works. Will cover the World Wide Web, browsers, bookmarks and a variety of search engines. Using Microsoft's Internet Explorer, students will learn how to input website addresses, how to move around web pages and how to search. Time permitting, we will introduce basic e-mail skills. Prerequisite: beginners who have experience using a mouse.

Basic introduction helps those who have a fear of computers become comfortable with terminology & concepts. Hands-on help with the Internet also available.

Are there events from your life that you always meant to write about, but never found the time? This group meets informally as a club to share and discuss their writing.
THE WONDER OF WORDPLAY
Mon, 1:30-3 at Susan Patterson Building.
Join an ongoing group to read, discuss and write poetry. No writing experience is required, only an interest in a journey to a realm of poetic language.
