Breakfast for Brain
Most people think that our brains lose power as we age, like a battery going dead. That is not true. Our brain speed may slow down, but that often happens because we no longer challenge ourselves. Based on the findings of Marge Engleman, Madison, WI. and her work, “Aerobics of the Mind,” the goal of this program is to work towards improving your memory, thinking more clearly, having a more positive attitude and a healthier lifestyle just by being part of this group for the next several weeks. The 20 sessions focus on: nutrition, how your brain works, humor, using visuals to stimulate - puzzles, optical illusions, creative art, left/right brain activities, listening as a brain enhancer, expressing opinions - reminiscing exercises, word games, and memory building exercise. Cost: $50/residents, 70/non-residents for 10 weeks. Register at (609) 924-7108. Location: Suzanne Patterson Building |
